How to read these numbers
- The average is the mean percentage of points among all candidates. The median is the middle score: half of candidates have that or more.
- Papers differ every year, so a gap of a few points need not mean pupils know more or less. Compare yourself with the median and your own progress rather than with one number.
- * In 2023 only general secondary school leavers sat Formula 2023. From 2024 the data also cover technical and second-stage vocational schools, so 2023 is not comparable with later years.
- At the extended level everyone chooses their own subject, so these results cover a different group from the basic level. In 2027 sitting one additional subject is enough; the 30% threshold applies to it from 2028. Rules at CKE ↗
- In 2025 pupils with Ukrainian citizenship were exempt from the eighth-grade Polish paper unless they chose to sit it. This also affects comparisons between years.
